Continental Group Expands Expansion of Fuel Supply Unit in Russia Plant

In December 2012, Continental Group announced on its official website that it plans to add a new production line at its Kaluga plant in Russia. When the production line goes into full-load operation, it can produce 500,000 fuel supply units (FSU) per year. .

Continental started production of the fuel supply unit at the Kaluga plant from November this year. Prior to this, the company needed to import such products from other markets to Russia. As of the end of November, the Kaluga plant in the mainland has a total of 229 employees. It mainly manufactures electronic products such as alarms and printed circuit boards. In addition to the expansion of the fuel supply unit at the Kaluga Plant, the Continental Powertrain Business Unit will also invest in expansion projects. New production equipment and plans to start producing the engine control unit in 2014.

Continental ContiTech recently announced that it will invest 13 million euros (about 16.8 million US dollars) to build a new factory in Kaluga, and plans to start production of air conditioning and power steering products by the end of 2013; in addition, the mainland The Group’s new tire factory in the local area will also be put into operation by the end of next year.
